Cool review. As a kid, I loved the Digimon anime a lot more than the Pokemon one, but I always liked the Pokemon games better. That doesn't mean I didn't like the Digimon ones, either; I just didn't get as much experience with them. I've played the first Digimon game on the Playstation (I think it's called Digimon World; I reviewed it some time ago), and really immersed myself in it when I was younger. It sounds like this iteration kept much of the same themes/play styles as the originals, which is pretty exciting.

I've always wanted to go back and check the other games in this series out jsut to see how they stack (the idea of actually reaching mega is neat; the first in the series only hit Ultimate). In any case, I enjoyed reading this, as it brought back nostalgia for me.

Thanks for the kind words. Yeah, I really only watched the first season of the anime and the movie. That's as far as my knowledge of Digimon goes, but I really regret not being more into it now. The games were not only on a platform I actually owned, but everything is just more in line with the kind of stuff I was into as a child.
