Yeah Rob, this game is ass. I dunno if you emulated, but I had the real thing and it was just terrible -- and I played it years ago. I can't imagine how much worse the passage of time has made it seem.

Yeah, I emulated and spent an afternoon with it.

I'm still contemplating doing an edit to put a good paragraph in simply ridiculing the most lame ninja in gaming history. Wooo....his special power is teleporting and popping back up with a shadow ninja next to him!!!! And the only other thing he does is meander around and try to clip you with his claw. That fellow makes a mighty effort to turn ninjas into uncool dweebs....

Did you happen to play Double Dragon III in the arcade? The one where you travel the world and need coins to buy lives? That's gotta one of the worst beat em ups ever.

No, I did play the NES Double Dragon III. I loved the moment when I found out that by constantly doing the spinning jump kick or whatever it was called, you'd essentially be an invulnerable juggernaut. I might have taken one or two hits the entire game after figuring that out.
