To answer your opening question, more or less anyone can make it to the end depending on the choices you make. I know this, because a decision I thought was for the best blew up in my face two hours later and I lost a lot of people I begrudgingly cared about. So awful felt I that I abandoned the entire playthrough, started from scratch, and sidestepped that particular choice. Those people lived (only a little longer in some cases), but others died and I still felt fucking awful about it.

Man, though, I adore this game. I’ve played some really (purposefully) depressing stuff this year, and this still manages to stand out among them. I lost my save file with a computer crash, and both look forward to and bloody dread replaying it all once the second episode is finally released. If it gets released, I guess, with the threatened lawsuit from King.com hanging over its head for daring to use the word Saga in its game title.

Loved the review. Fine work.

I did actually read your review shortly after I completed the game, EmP. It was lovely! But I'm bad about leaving feedback. But yeah, I read about that situation you stumbled into and I'm fairly certain that the same thing happened to me. Like I said, I think stuff like that is crucial to the game's message. This is easily my GOTY so far if it's not evident.

Thanks to both of you for reading! Really appreciate the comments.
