Loving the Game Boy review. I remember Alleyway, and I remember enjoying it when I was tiny, but that was because it was the first Breakout I ever played. Obviously, I was suckered because I didn't know any better at the time, so personal feelings aside, I completely agree with your points on why Alleyway was kind of lame. Nice job.

Thanks! I also didn't mind it when I first played it, mostly for the same reason as you (that and I thought it was a mortal sin to dislike something with Mario in it). Returning to it in my twenties didn't prove to be the experience I had hoped for, and I've maintained my middling opinion of it since.

Of course, I also think Arkanoid, DX-Ball, and Wizord helped ruin this game for me...


The only thing my milkshake brings to the yard is a subpoena.
