I rented this game back in high school and I think my first impression was about the same as yours. By dumb luck, I found a dungeon or two, but was basically spinning my wheels aimlessly. This review almost makes me want to try it again to see if (with a little help from my friends...I mean a guide) I enjoy it more if I have some sense of direction.

Yeah, were it not for the fact that I stumbled upon the right stage, I probably would have given up on this game. Finding the "warp locator" makes the process of hunting down the other stages much easier.

If you're going through it with a FAQ, I recommend this wiki. Saved me a lot of trouble.


The only thing my milkshake brings to the yard is a subpoena.

I don't remember what stages I found, but I'm pretty sure I never got this warp detector you're speaking of. Since I vaguely recall being just as confused after completing it/them as I was beforehand. Gotta love games like that where you need to find one specific item early on or you're completely in the dark!
