Another game I won't play! I have nothing against the Halo series, but aside from a brief sojour into Halo 2's co-operative mode, I've never played a Halo game. I owned an Xbox, but I never wanted to pay to set it up with Xbox live.

played all the halos and while i'm not infatuated with them (being as PC FPS has done so much more before it), they are legitimately fun multiplayer experiences.

what i'll never understand is the credit towards the games' narratives. it's like the Twilight of the gaming industry.

I believe Hold means that the Halo story is much too weak to be as celebrated as it is.

I can't actually comment on that, myself, as I have never played through a full Halo game nor am I invested with the fan base. I'm just interpreting the meaning and am not looking to get involved in a flame war if it's about to occur.*

The writing in Halo is like the writing in James Cameron movies: it ain't Shakespeare, but it suits its genre. Twilight doesn't work on either of those levels.
