I honestly don't think this review is as bad as you think it is. I'll say I really enjoyed the intro, and the next few paragraphs after. And throughout your review, you seemed to put little bits of humor which kept me interested even at what would be considered "boring" parts. Which is good, because I'm not a huge fan of the racing genre. It might need some cutting down - there are some sentences in there that don't need all the words you put in them - but that's about it that I can see.

I think you did a pretty good job for someone who hasn't written one in ages. Now, someone else may completely disagree with me, but that's their problem. I thought it was fine. I hope you continue to write these.
