Recently, a Director’s Cut of the first game has been released on both the iPhone and the Wii.

And the DS.

Awful, awful ending aside, I really liked BS3. I'm sure I recently picked up the XBox version for s econd time; if so, perhaps I'll give it another whirl just so I can pick up the peice of coal near the end and giggle to myself. It's lucky!

Good review.

Your thoughts largely mirror mine. It speaks bookparts for the game's atmosphere that its heavy duty overreliance on box moving puzzles and stealth sequences did not make it a bad title.

Fun fact: In order to write this review, I had the option of simply playing the PS2 version I already had, or buying it for the PC. You'd think it'd be an obvious choice. But my PS2 wasn't set up.

You'll have noticed which format this review's for.

A console version exists, eh? Now that explains why the control scheme was so...weird. Not unplayable, just so completely unorthodox.
