I've always read that the Working Designs' translation of this game was poor, but no one actually bothered explaining in detail why. This review had a pretty good explanation why! Good review, EmP.

Fantastic work, man. Even reading this I can tell it was heavily researched. I applaud you immensely for that, especially since I know just how much time goes into research like this (or at least it would for me). Sometimes it's more effort than writing the review or playing the game itself. To add to that, the argument is sound and well-presented and I now have a clearer understanding of the Shining franchise than I ever would short of actually playing all of them.

And people (yourself included) claim your Breath of Death review is better. I really have to read that one now.
