I commented on this already in the production room, so you know I think it's a great review, and I think your changes have helped it read smoother.

I still have a problem with this line:

The game is technically solid but, like everything else in the game, a little rough-hewn.

Same comment as before... it's like saying "my room is technically large, but like everything else in the room, a little dirty." I don't know if you see the problem with redundancy there, but it does exist. It would be more passable if it read "the game is technically solid, but like everything in it, a little rough hewn" or even better as simply "the game is techinically solid but a little rough-hewn."

Note to gamers: when someone shoots you in the face, they aren't "gay." They are "psychopathic."

Wait... Your name is Andy Chalk? Are you from the Escapist?

Yup, it is an ugly line. I did actually look at it last night after your original suggestion and I thought it seemed fine, but it rides a whole lot rougher with fresh eyes this AM.

Unfortunately, I'd like to change it but I can't. :)

It's too bad about the game. Maybe the remaining chapters will step it up, but strictly from an academic point of view (I have a huge amount of respect for the KQ games, if no particular love) it was a letdown. Fan project or not, with this much time to ferment the game should've been a lot more polished. I could have forgiven the lack of interactivity as part of the necessary setup procedure if there had been enough meat on the bone to really involve me, but it just wasn't there.

Yes, one and the same. But they don't generally let me do reviews. ;)
