Glad you liked this one, EmP. Now go play the DS version and learn the meaning of butchery.

I'd actually earmarked the DS version as a game I'd have to get, but have decided to stick to my time with the PC port.

You know, if you're still after the game and your PC isn;t up to scratch, ports to the PS2 and XBox were made. Syberia will run on almost any reasonably modern PC right now -- including my god awful laptop.

I might have to check it out, since from the sound of things this is an interesting game along the lines of The Longest Journey and its ilk. Or am I totally making a stupid assumption?

"What if everything you see is more than what you see--the person next to you is a warrior and the space that appears empty is a secret door to another world? What if something appears that shouldn't? You either dismiss it, or you accept that there is much more to the world than you think. Perhaps it really is a doorway, and if you choose to go inside, you'll find many unexpected things." - Shigeru Miyamoto on secret doors to another world2

Longest Journey is a very good comparison. Though probably closer to Dreamfall than the original.

Thanks for the earlier catches, Jason.
