Great review of a criminally underrated title. Back in my SNES days, this was a title I got a TON of enjoyment from. The funny thing is that I never fought the ultimate final boss. I explored every inch of every level about a million times trying to figure out what I missed, but never found anything new.

And then, just a couple of years ago, I thought to myself...."Dude, there's gotta be a FAQ telling where all the goodies are hidden. It's been 7-8 years since you've played the game, so it's a long shot you'll remember what you missed out on, but you might as well try."

And I found out beyond the shadow of a doubt what I'd missed. And immediately felt the chagrin of my personal stupidity. Those somewhat annoying mini-games where you headbutt skulls......yeah, the items I needed were rewards from them. The sad thing was that I never even considered the possibility I'd get a necessary item from those things.

At least I have the game via emulation, so one day I WILL completely conquer this game!

Definitely underrated and underplayed.

Keep it coming, Sho, you're at the last part of the marathon, now!

Better make that last one a shocker. Maybe something that's not ten years old ^_^

I remember reading a review of this game in EGM back in the day. The writer said the game is so good, you almost feel bad when you finish it.

Having sampled the game myself, I have to agree this is a great game that certainly deserves more exposure.

Echoing previously expressed sentiments. It warms my heart to see Demon's Crest get the love it so richly deserves.

What I do remember is that after the initial stage when you are on that world map or something I went straight for what seemed to be the last boss, finished it and wondered why the hell is this game so short? Good times.
