It's one of those things people do, I think, where they say something like "wouldn't it be cool to have Sonic on your phone?" And someone else says "yeah!" And no one does any thinking whatsoever to realize how god awful that would be.

I just always had this idealistic notion that sega, especialy sonic team, were a little more concerned with quality control. I guess not!

Are you kidding? I lost that notion after playing Sonic 1 for the GBA. They honestly don't give a shit, which is why they continue to strike out with each new franchise installment. It's sad, but unfortunately true.

I wasn't aware a GBA version existed actually.

I think the quality control department got axed after Sonic and Knuckles. Even then, Sonic releases were somewhat mixed outside of the mainstream Mega Drive lot, such as on the Game Gear.

I don't care what people say; I liked Sonic Adventure.

Sonic Adventure 2 was the last great Sonic game, I think. It's like a part of Sonic died with Sega's hardware division.

I wasn't aware a GBA version existed actually.

And you were better off unaware. It's depressingly awful.

Sonic 3 locked on to Sonic and Knuckles was fucking epic.

The DS Sonic is god-awful, definitely not worth the $10 I spent on it.

Sonic Adventure was great. Adventure 2 could've been great if they focused more on the good aspects rather than all that other crap they put in it.

I read on a GR article about games that probably aren't as good as you remember, Sonic Adventure being one, with the Gamecube port scoring 3 poitnsw lwoer on various reviews than the Dremacast version.

Do you like Sonic Adventure because it's god NOW or was it just good then :P I'm tempted to play it though, because as a Sega fanboy it's my duty to play it.

As far as I'm concerned, both Sonic Adventure games are still good, with the second one holding up particularly well. GR can suck it.

Two or three levels aside, Sonic Adventure 2 is, was and always will be a travesty. It's easily the worst of the 3D Sonic games that I've played, though in fairness I haven't played Sonic the Hedgehog or Sonic Unleashed for the Xbox 360. Sonic Unleashed looks pretty good, though, which is more than I can say for Sonic Adventure 2. The first Sonic Adventure was decent, though. I didn't like Big the Cat's segments and there were some other rough spots--including the pointless level hub--but overall it was still a worthwhile experience.

Let's see, Sonic Adventure 2 had...

* No level hubs.

* No fishing mini-game.

* A lot less glitches.

* Worthwhile unlockables.

I can't see how anyone could criticize "Sonic Adventure" for it's level hubs and Big the Cat and still prefer it to the sequel.

Because the bulk of Sonic Adventure's levels were fantastic, while the bulk of Sonic Adventure 2 was anything but. I enjoyed probably 20% of Sonic Adventure 2 and around 60% of Sonic Adventure and would have preferred to avoid playing the remaining percentage of those two games altogether. By my reckoning, that makes the first Sonic Adventure three times better. :-D
