My bet is that it's either him, or he gave permission to have the reviews posted.

If highly outrageous reviews start to pop up, then we can all get agitated. But those probably wouldn't get posted, anyway.

Alright. They seem to be perfectly legitimate reviews, and copied from his old GFaqs ones, anyway, so I guess it's not really a problem. It's just the principle of the thing, though, which was what I was reacting against, even if the actions actually being performed aren't technically that big a deal.

But as long as it was either really him or he gave permission, then that's fine. Of course, there's really no way of knowing as of now, but still.

WQ, I understand your concern and it's the same one that I had. I looked online to see if I could even find proof of him being active recently, and it looks like he's been active under... another site that he visits and has linked in his profile. So he's still around online, just not posting particularly frequently.

I'm not sure that this is him, but I also don't have any reason to act as if it isn't him, not yet. I do hope that if it is him, he'll post soon to give us some sort of assurance of that fact. Copying over old reviews from GameFAQs doesn't exactly scream "It's me and I'm back!" and the "I'm back" message on April Fool's Day wasn't a confidence builder, either. I definitely know someone who thinks it's just hilarious to pull 'pranks' like this--even though it's pretty obviously not--so I'm not sure what to think just yet but will act accordingly if anything changes.

"What if everything you see is more than what you see--the person next to you is a warrior and the space that appears empty is a secret door to another world? What if something appears that shouldn't? You either dismiss it, or you accept that there is much more to the world than you think. Perhaps it really is a doorway, and if you choose to go inside, you'll find many unexpected things." - Shigeru Miyamoto on secret doors to another world2
