This was a brilliantly done piece that conveys its point effectively and without waste. But I think you know that already. I played this one for about ten minutes when it was new, and I've never gone back to it since, even though it has basically attained the status of "classic". Sometimes I regret that.

I do wish SHODAN weren't quite so similar to SODAN, however... it just gives me creepy vibes.

I am probably one of the 1 percent people who played the game and were not suitably impressed with it. It was a good game, of course, but maybe I expected too much after countless perfect reviews and rants on the internet. I played it some odd five years after it came out and finished it, feeling fairly apathetic towards the entire experience. Without a doubt a good game, but failed to leave a mark. Then again, it could be because I played Deus Ex before it, and that one left far more of a positive impact on me.

I remember loving this game, but it's been so long since I played it that I probably need to revisit it. DE pretty much underlined my thoughts on BioShock, which drew a lot of comparisons to SS2 when it was released, so maybe it wouldn't seen as fun to me in this day and age.

Either way, excellent review, Lewis.

Thank you all.

I went back to this recently. Had trouble getting it to work in any reasonable way, but I'm still positive it's superb.

LATENESS.

Me and Masters were talking about how odd I am for not getting more into the HL stuff, and SS2 came up. Obviously, I know enough about it from its infamousy and becuse I proofed DE's cool review on the subject matter, but it made me come back to the reviews we had on site and I read through this again. Fantastic review.

Oh hey, fanx!

I played through BioShock 2 yesterday. It is not as good as System Shock 2. Or BioShock for that matter.

Depressing.
