I finally got around to buying an HDTV.

Xbox 360 graphics sure are purty now.

Speaking of which:

The cool crowd have already moved up to 3DTV, my friend.

Meh, screw 3D.

I am kinda saying that because we finally got a 1080p TV last month. 360 and PS3 both look much better now.

I joined the cool crowd about this time last year, and damn it I could never, ever go back.

HD television is too beautiful to be denied. I look at SD televisions now with a mixture of pity and disgust. I'll use them if I have to, but HD is something that gaming now needs.

I joined the cool crowd last winter. It was so nice knowing what was going on in games like Dragon Age Origins. I think the first thing I noticed was how Infinite Undiscovery got a bit easier once I could read my character hit point status.

Lol... You know.. I really began to appreciate how utterly ridiculous the entire "HD" discussion was after I played a few games on a friend's TV. A huge flat-screen monster - cost an arm and a leg, as well as the shirt. But it only did 720p with pretty heavy latency on the updates through the internal TV tuner (in digital modes..). So the picture was actually more pleasant to watch with the analog signal in sd, because then the digital tv tuner wouldn't be used..

...but now you can get a high quality hdmi 1080p tv for very little... So you can actually set up and watch 1080p video (and some games) in the living room, with the kind of updates that were restricted to computer monitors before.. That kind of changes things a bit, at least :) ...I mean, I had "HD" on my PC in 1999 on Glide-games ..or.. remember when Icewind Dale II came out? 800x600 lol That was twice the resolution compared to before. Could really see the polygons come out on the 3d games then :D
