So a new X-Com game has been announced that will be a first person shooter instead of a strategy game.
If I close my eyes and think of rainy ol' England, I can picture an EmP, whose cold, black, empty shell of a heart has just died a little more inside.

Title: Brace yourselves, this video has no Koreans in it. Posted: April 08, 2010 (07:41 PM)
This is a video for a first person horror game called Amnesia. Normally, horror games like this fail to capture my attention, but this one seems pretty atmospheric. I like many of the little details that the game employs, like barring the door with the table, and having the guy peek out, see the monster, and close the door back with a startled gasp. Amnesia looks like a game that might be worth checking out, if only for its atmospheric value.
Title: Final Fantasy XIV Posted: March 13, 2010 (02:44 PM)
With all this talk about FFXIII, I figured I'd talk about the next MMO in the series. I applied for the beta, but didn't get in the first batch of invites. ; ;
Gameplay-wise, it seems pretty interesting, especially the Armoury system, a take on the job system that apparently changes your job based on your current weapon.
I've always felt that Final Fantasy XI received a lot of bad press because, as an online game, it's not a "real" Final Fantasy... Despite the fact that the next "real" Final Fantasy was nearly a carbon copy in terms of gameplay,sans online play. Throw in more series homages than you can shake a stick at and a great storyline told through gratuitous cutscenes, and the only thing that really seperates it from "real" FF games is the fact that it's online. That's quite a bit of unfair treatment, and Square Enix making the next numbered entry in the series an MMORPG seems to indicate that they agree with my sentiment.
Anyway, is anyone else going to participate in the beta, or even play the final game when it's released?
As an aside, I'll update this post with videos of cute Korean girls singing when I get home from work.
