Anime Update
April 02, 2008

I watched the first season of Code Geass and really liked it. The plot is really over the top in a good way. I like how almost all of the main characters involved in this main plot happen to go to the same school.

Next I watched Death Note. This might have been one of my favorite anime series ever. Basically a guy finds a notebook and can kill anyone just by writing his or her name in it.

I found all of the episodes for both of these on Veoh, so thanks for that pointer EmP. It's nice being able to watch these online and not have to pay 20some dollars for a dvd with 3 or 4 episodes on it.

Yeah Death Note is great. I liked it enough that I'm collecting the manga now.

Death Note was up and down for me. It was fantasticly clever, but I hated the character archtypes that were wheeled out and how everyone second guessed everyone else's second guesses only to be out-guessed and counter-guessed.

But I thought the ending, which is universaully despised on the internet, was great.

I'm being a hypocrite right now and watching Naruto while I wait for the next season of One Piece to complete. It has a short spell of being great, but you need to get a good 100+ episodes in to find it. And it quickly finishes and falls back into humdrum.

I actually liked this because it was like SUPER SAJIAN DETECTIVE WORK. My biggest problem was how lame it was when *SPOILERS KINDA* they replaced my favorite character with two lame characters.

I definitely wasn't a fan of the two replacements. I liked the ending of the series, but I'd also like to see what would have happened if it had went the other way.
