In the final section of the stage, there's a little gap near the top. Destroy the rhino, and then climb up there. When you get to the top, there are more huge Orblets. Destroy them, and fall in the hole. There is a Tri-Life Star, Super star, Yellow Diamond, and a 1-up.

There are life stars in the holes you can collect by falling and pushing yourself into the walls. Make sure there aren't any enemies around like Orblets before you try.

There is a 1-up in Area 2 when you enter the tower, but it's trapped at the top. Advance through the level until you get to the end. When you get on the star handle, go the other way and return to the tower and get on top. When there, walk to the beginning until you find the hidden 1-up.
On Planet Sonata, When you give all the metromones to the birds, on the 4th one, when you hear the drums. Wait for a bitand a very familiar theme will play.

Spin Attack
When on a horizontal ladder, press button 1 and you will start spinning around. You'll kill anything you touch like this.
