Super Mario items!

You can now get these neat Super Mario items to make your house super awesome! The items are taken from the first Super Mario Bros. game on the NES - and almost each one does something different when you stand next to it and press A.

Example: The Cannon will shoot out a Bullet Bill when you press A.

Secrets/Easter Eggs

Money Rock

Each day, one rock in the village is a potential bonanza. You can make somewhere around 2500 bells if you find it and hit it repeatedly with your shovel.

The rock you need to find each day changes. If you're interested, go around hitting shovels until one turns red when struck and produces a money bag. Quickly hit it again (but make sure you don't dig a stupid hole instead) for more bells. Do so until you've hit it 7 times. The first few times, the money in the sacks isn't all that much, but keep going and the last few might yield 1000 bells apiece!

Money Tree

If you'd like to find yourself an additional source of income and you think it would be cool to have a tree that grows money, as some town residents hint might exist, all you have to do is plant a bag of money in the appropriate place.

As you may or may not know, the glowing spot on the ground that appears in a different location each day is place you should dig to find a bag of money. Do so, but rather than adding the money to your fund, immediately re-bury the sack. A sproutling will appear. When it reaches maturity, you'll find the tree grows money!

Golden Tools

To get the gold versions of various tools, you have to know what you're doing.  You can find a golden shovel, fishing rod, bug-catching net, and ax.

Golden Shovel
Make sure you have two shovels in your inventory, then find the daily hole where you can dig for a money sack.  Bury the extra shovel in that hole.  Soon it will grow into a golden shovel, which allows you to dig and find gold at random intervals.

Golden Fishing Rod
To get this treat, catch all 40 varieties of fish.

Golden Net
Make bug-catching simpler with the gold version of the net, which you receive once you've found and caught at least one of each type of bug.

Golden Ax
No, it's not the game.  Find the golden ax after visiting the wishing well 15 days in a row and being told you're doing an excellent job keeping things maintained throughout town.
