@jerec Please be more specific about precisely what you would like to see implemented, perhaps in response to my recent post if you need more room. I'm still finalizing a few things, so slight revisions and additions are certainly possible.

HG Chatter probably isn't going to be around for much longer, but I hope you won't be TOO angry about the change. Here's an explanation:
Jason Venter @honestgamerJan 05, 2015
@JoeTheDestroyer It's nice of you to review Natural Doctrine for Ron, though. I'm sure he's a nice guy, and apparently the game is torture to play through (see Suskie's review).
Jason Venter @honestgamerJan 03, 2015
It occurs to me that having a "Reply" link at the end of HG Chatter posts that appear on the site's front page would be a nice convenience and may further encourage discussion. I might have to add them at some point.
Jason Venter @honestgamerJan 02, 2015
@joseph_valencia If it at least has pugs, I'm willing to forgive it.
Jason Venter @honestgamerJan 02, 2015
If you play games on Steam, know that HonestGamers now has an official group set up there. Some of you have received invites to join. Otherwise, here is the URL:

Happy New Year, everyone! I plan to be ambitious with HG in 2015, and I hope that will result in a bunch of great new content to read and enjoy. Please know that your participation is greatly appreciated. Let's have fun. That's what it's all about, right?
Jason Venter @honestgamerDec 24, 2014
@JoeTheDestroyer Yes, find Knack and buy it cheaply. I seem to be the only person in the Western Hemisphere who actually enjoyed that game...
Jason Venter @honestgamerDec 23, 2014
@JoeTheDestroyer That's excellent! Any particular games you plan to get with it?
Jason Venter @honestgamerDec 18, 2014
@pickhut You're saying Tokyo Crash Mobs crashed your 3DS?!
Jason Venter @honestgamerDec 13, 2014
@JoeTheDestroyer I cleverly deleted the email that contained the key, shortly after starting this HG Chatter conversation. But there's still a key for Dungeonmans, if you want it. I noticed it is on your Steam wish list, at any rate...
Jason Venter @honestgamerDec 13, 2014
@honestgamer Here is the HonestGamers listing, so you can see what the game looks like before you request the key:
Jason Venter @honestgamerDec 13, 2014
Anyone want to review Road Not Taken for PC? It's a rogue/puzzle title. I added a listing, thinking someone would grab the review key, but no one has. You can write a reader review if you like. I'll supply the key to any community regular who wants it.
Jason Venter @honestgamerDec 11, 2014
@JoeTheDestroyer @EmP @zippdementia @overdrive @Suskie You could always cover Firefall (PC), EmP. I think the code I was sent will work for you. :-D
Jason Venter @honestgamerDec 09, 2014
@espiga @wolfqueen001 867-5309... is not mine.
Jason Venter @honestgamerDec 02, 2014
@Suskie I like every one of those screenshots more than the first one you shared, which wasn't bad, just not... verdant. I like verdant. DQ:I will likely be the first one in the series that I play.
Jason Venter @honestgamerDec 01, 2014
@Suskie There looks to be an ample supply of dirt and rock in that world.
Jason Venter @honestgamerNov 30, 2014
@Suskie @espiga Around here, we're also selling a controller that looks just like a GameCube one, except you plug it into the Wii Remote. It's made by Nintendo, too!
Jason Venter @honestgamerNov 22, 2014
@joseph_valencia @Suskie @Genj I think we'll all benefit once developers stop trying to port ambitious games to aging PS3/Xbox 360 hardware. Something like DQ:I seems like it would all but demand newer the hardware, regardless of developer intent.
Jason Venter @honestgamerNov 20, 2014
@joseph_valencia That one does look good(ish) to me, and I still hope to get it. The newest Sonic one I will probably skip.
Jason Venter @honestgamerNov 12, 2014
@Suskie Looks like you finally got it installed, at least. I will be playing on PS4. I should finish Advanced Warfare first, though, I think. Are you on Xbox One?
Jason Venter @honestgamerNov 06, 2014
@EmP As it was, is, and ever shall be with nearly every game in existence. ;-)
Jason Venter @honestgamerNov 05, 2014
The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask will finally be available on 3DS, Nintendo announced officially. I bet @Suskie is dancing right now. I'm happy too. It's a terrific game!
Jason Venter @honestgamerNov 04, 2014
@Germ @JoeTheDestroyer @espiga @EmP Apparently, it is half off for the next 48 hours, but I'm low on funds and have to pay off my Assassin's Creed Unity preorder yet, so of course I won't bite... on THIS sale.
Jason Venter @honestgamerNov 03, 2014
@JoeTheDestroyer @espiga @Germ @EmP I like the second option better. It lets me be lazier. I already have a glitch EmP brought to my attention that I'd like to fix, so that will probably fill up my quota for a while.
Jason Venter @honestgamerNov 03, 2014
@Germ @EmP Yeah, it's a game that interested me a great deal. I never remember it exists while I have money to spare, but one of these days, I'll likely end up owning it.
Jason Venter @honestgamerNov 03, 2014
SEGA has more 3D classics on the way for the 3DS. Upcoming titles are: After Burner II, Fantasy Zone, OutRun, Fantasy Zone II, ThunderBlade. Not a bad batch! They'll release one per month, starting in early 2015, according to a press release I just got.
Jason Venter @honestgamerNov 02, 2014
@Suskie @espiga Isn't this time of year just the greatest? All the games we can handle for another 6 months, crammed into 3 weeks of calendar space...
Jason Venter @honestgamerOct 30, 2014
@JoeTheDestroyer Some of my greatest addictions in games have resulted from playing games that I know aren't all that great. I'm currently addicted to ClickerHeroes, a browser-based game that's really just about clicking. For a month now!
Jason Venter @honestgamerOct 30, 2014
Have you heard of the new social media network, Tsu? It's a lot like Facebook, but revenue goes to people who post content. Here's a link to my profile that will also let you join: I plan to promote my reviews there. :-D
Jason Venter @honestgamerOct 26, 2014
@espiga Thanks for the offer! If I write a guide for DQ3, it will be from scratch, and I'll just grab screenshots as I go, probably. The DQ2 one I originally wrote a few years back, before I was worried about screens, which is why I have to grab them now.
Jason Venter @honestgamerOct 26, 2014
There are games I always wanted to produce high-quality guides for, and now I have the coding in place to make that a snap. Some of the guides are already written. I just have to insert screenshots and push them live. Things are coming together!
Jason Venter @honestgamerOct 26, 2014
I used to think "Oh, someday I want to do this one thing on the site," but I couldn't always figure out how. Now, the site has all the framework in place to let me do those things. The only problem is finding the time, as I can't pay myself to do it.
Jason Venter @honestgamerOct 26, 2014
@espiga Dragon Warrior II is still one of my favorite RPGs, so it's not a task I'm dreading. I've actually wanted to do something like this for years. Lately, I'm tending to my wish list of projects for the site, with guides especially.
Jason Venter @honestgamerOct 26, 2014
@espiga I need to go through and grab screens to paste into my detailed guide I've written for that one, which is otherwise ready to go live on the site. I knew there was a reason I was waiting. ;-)
Jason Venter @honestgamerOct 21, 2014
@joseph_valencia @overdrive I finally bought some rechargeable ones, but I haven't yet used them, because the Ultimate Lithium ones I used from Energizer seem to last dozens of hours in Wii Remotes.
Jason Venter @honestgamerOct 19, 2014
@yamishuryou @espiga @zippdementia @overdrive I tend to forgive and even prefer "bog standard" in Dragon Quest battles, because DQ basically MADE that standard. It doesn't feel lazy. It feels RIGHT. And I really wish Nintendo would step up and localize X.
Jason Venter @honestgamerOct 17, 2014
Atlus just announced that Shin Megami Tensei IV will finally be available in Europe on October 30 of this year, as a digital download priced at €19.99/£17.99. That's good news for European RPG fans who didn't import!
Jason Venter @honestgamerOct 16, 2014
Nintendo today announced that Demon's Crest and Gargoyle’s Quest II: The Demon Darkness are coming to Wii U's Virtual Console (and to the 3DS, in the case of the latter) on October 30. Woo!
Jason Venter @honestgamerOct 15, 2014
@Suskie You're making it sound like a game I should avoid at all costs, since I don't like scary games much at all and a lack of polish can really annoy me.
Jason Venter @honestgamerOct 14, 2014
I just got done updating our site's policies and ethics statements to more directly address the topics gamers are discussing here in 2014:
Jason Venter @honestgamerOct 14, 2014
@Suskie @overdrive I think I have cards, but I have no idea what their market value might be or why people even want them. Kids these days!
Jason Venter @honestgamerOct 04, 2014
@EmP No, I still have them. There's just no way to dependably automate, so I have to post manually to Twitter, Facebook, and Google+. Jeremy was doing that as an intern, but he just ended his internship. I gotta get back in the habit myself. :-(
Jason Venter @honestgamerSep 23, 2014
I just got back this afternoon from a 2 1/2 day vacation, my first real vacation in 15 years. Now it's time to go to work in a little bit. Of course. Oh, and my Internet is petulantly going in and out of service. I guess it must have missed me?
Jason Venter @honestgamerSep 19, 2014
@Germ That's a great story. Thanks for sharing it! When I have kids, maybe they'll push around blocks like Link in The Legend of Zelda. Or draw fan art of the games all the time, like I did as a child. There are many ways to love games.
Jason Venter @honestgamerSep 15, 2014
@joseph_valencia It's a difficult time to be the creator responsible for something too many people love. That can take on a life of its own. I can sympathize with Notch, though obviously I'm not likely to shed a tear on his behalf.
Jason Venter @honestgamerSep 14, 2014
@joseph_valencia @Suskie Yup, he got my last code. So if you also sent one to @TomatoMan, it looks like we're all sorted. Thanks!
Jason Venter @honestgamerSep 14, 2014
@TomatoMan @Suskie @espiga Well, maybe @spaceworlder still has a spare key and will hook you up. Mine are all gone now.
Jason Venter @honestgamerSep 14, 2014
@TomatoMan @Suskie @espiga Brandon, didn't you hit Platinum status this year, by the end of last month? You should have an email with four keys, if so.
Jason Venter @honestgamerSep 13, 2014
@espiga Check your HG Mail.
