I'm really happy with the number of jobs my parkour training has been getting me. Since I started doing media work back earlier in the year, I'm really surprised at just how much there is out there and I might like to pursue parkour/streetstunts as a career. Since the summer, I've worked on:
*Advert for Sky Broadband
*Stunts for film projects for a local film school
*Numerous newspaper articles
*Work on an upcoming 2008 feature film
*Public workshops in 4 major Scottish locations
*Our own Documentary for STV (Scotish Television)
*Photoshoot for posters to advertise some small shops
*Promoting various clothing items like NewBalance trainers
Twas a good year ^_^

pup - January 01, 2008 (11:33 PM) I don't understand why parkour hasn't really hit America. It's been in TV commercials, music videos, magazines, etc. Even Casino Royale had everyone saying "I wish I could do that," but nobody ever does. I think it's two things. 1) We're generally lazy, apathetic, and misshapen. We'll start running tomorrow, or maybe next week, because we should really ease into it. 2) We talk a big game about being unique, but 99.9% of don't want to stand out, so we run in straight lines along sidewalks and designated areas. |
