Spring time!? Spring time!? I still have work to do for the fall!
November 21, 2005

Inspired by Genj's post, I've decided to post my classes for the spring. I am not a unique snowflake.

Political Science 337: Middle East Politics - I'm really looking forward to this class. I hate having discussions with people about the Middle East because I really don't know that much about it. Hopefully, taking this class will help me understand the political landscape in the Middle East and help me get past some of the stereotypes that I've probably picked up about the place from living in America. The teacher of this class is my advisor and I know I'm going to get a lot out of it.

Political Science 207: Comparitive Politics - Not really sure about this one, I just need to take it for my major. I have the teacher for Political Science 369: Terrorism and Political Violence and I can tell that she's really smart, just terrible with people. I hope that she gets more comfortable and familiar with me.

Political Science 211: Public Policy and Administration - Another required course for my major. I guess the teacher is really good, but I really don't know much about this class.

Introduction to Astronomy - I need to take some science courses and I'm terrible at Chemistry, Physics, and Biology, so I wasn't given many options here. Thankfully, two of my friends are also taking this one with me, so if I get confused I can just ask them. I used to love telescopes and planets and stars when I'm younger, so maybe my passion will be rekindled.

History 102: The West and the World 1500-1900 - I was lucky to get all of my American History requirements taken care of in High School, but I still needed to take a Western Civilization course here. Ancient History made me so bored in High School that I didn't even want to go to school because I had to go to the class, but when it got closer to modern times I actually did really well. So here's hoping I dominate this one too.

All in all, I'm excited. I still have to finish out this semester, and with four papers due in two weeks (one on Hezbollah, one on the New York State Legislature, two dealing with International Relations), it is going to seem like an eternity before I get there. Oh well, I'll survive.
