I beat Rainbow Six Vegas, which turned out to be one of the best games I've ever played in my life, even if it was very challenging to a tactical-newbie. Just you wait for the HOT NEW REVIEW from asherdeus. Splinter Cell: Double Agent and Scarface are coming from GameFly soon, so I'm going to work on those. I've never been a huge fan of the Splinter Cell games, but after beating Vegas, I thought about giving Tom Clancy another chance. For some reason, I'm also interested in Medal of Honor Heroes for the PSP, even though I hear it's terrible. I'm chugging through Medal of Honor: Spearhead (a PC expansion to Medal of Honor: Allied Assault) and enjoying it, but I don't think I can tolerate a PSP FPS.

I also have bronchitis, which is probably one of the worst things I've ever suffered.

Bronchitis blows, get better soon.

As for rainbow six, I would never be able to review it. I loved the original, and this is just such a technically solid game. Yet, its probably because of how much I loved Gears of War, but the game just doesn't feel right. I literally played this right after I had played a lot of Gears, and the same intensity wasn't there. I just never got into it. Ahh well, I look forward to the review.

My biggest problem with R6V is level 1. I mean, what the hell are they doing making me spend nearly three hours fighting my way through Mexico? All the way through, I kept thinking the same 2 things. "I want the casino action, man!" and "SURELY this is the end of the level now!"

Since completing the Border Town, I have not gone back. And, I am not sure why. R6V is easily the best Tom Clancy game I have played, and I did enjoy the long slog through Mexico, but obviously not enough. Perhaps it is just because I picked up both Gears of War and Lost Planet since then...

It took you that long to get through Mexico? I think that section took me maybe an hour, an hour and a half, with retries. I actually heard that level got a lot of flak, but as for setting the story, creating an atmosphere, developing some tension, and working you into the setting.
