One thing I loved about the release of the PS2/Xbox/GameCube was how cheap it made Dreamcast and PS1 games. One thing I'm loving about the release of the PS3/360/Wii is how cheap it has made Xbox and PS2 games. I've picked up a bunch of cheap used PS2 and Xbox games over the last few days. Nothing particularly amazing, but good games that I enjoyed or heard were good.
Recent purchases!
Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty (PS2): I beat the game two days after it came out. It gets a lot of flack for the absolutely stupid storyline, but the gameplay is awesome. I might actually review this one so I can have so more ammo for the TT.
Max Payne (Xbox): I've already beaten and reviewed this one, too, but for $2.99, who can resist?
SSX Tricky (PS2): I've never played this, but SSX was fun and I heard this was good too. I thumbed through the manual and the song credits scare me.
Crimson Skies: High Road to Revenge (Xbox): I haven't played this either, but it was also $2.99 and I heard it was fun, so why not?
Outrun 2 (Xbox): I had a demo for this that my friend and I became obsessed with beating. I'm thinking I'll like this.
World Series of Poker (Xbox): I got this one cheap through GameFly. I heard it was awful, but there was free shipping, I had a coupon for five dollars off, and I love poker. So it's all good.
In other news...
I got Prey to review, for the 360. I also drew I for the team tournament. I had about 6 or so letters I was really hoping for and I was sadly not one of them. Oh well. I have a lot of games. I'll find something.
Maybe this will finally be motivation to finally play Indigo Prophecy...

Halon - July 18, 2006 (05:31 PM) Same here, I must've picked up around 10 XBox games (and a few PC games as well) since classes ended last spring. I haven't gotten to all of them yet, but they were dirt cheap and I wanted to clean the shelves before they start disappearing. I also got a free Gamestop membership card, which makes it even cheaper. I got all this and probably spent no more than 100 bucks. |
