Home from college...
December 24, 2005

I've been home from college for a few days (a week) now and while I had plans to write lots of reviews and stuff, I've found that I have very little desire to write anything. I rented Ridge Racer 6 and Need for Speed Most Wanted for the 360 and was going to write reviews, but I ended up returning both of them to the store without finishing up the reviews. I've mostly just been watching movies and skiing. Maybe I'll get my writing desires back after Christmas is over...

Everyone needs a break once in a while, so enjoy it while you can. I plan on writing at least 4 reviews these holidays, and with MGA2 already complete, I've got 3 more to go. God only knows it's too damn cold outside...

Seriously guys, how do you tolerate these cold Xmas days? Xmas is all about the beach, and BBQ's, and rounds of cricket out on the front lawn. Oh yeah, that's the good stuff alright!

BTW Ashy, what did you think of Ridge Racer 6? Did it rock your world? I thought NfSMW was pretty weak personally, but maybe I'm being too hard on EA again.

I'm the opposite; I took more than three months off from reviewing because I've lost the desire and now I'm starting to write them again.

Serious? Dude, I go crazy if I wait more than a week to write something.

It's been.... close to a year. I think my email from HG with my user name is dated sometime in April and that was when I started but I've been writing since I was about sixteen. It's so sad that I still have absolutely no technical knowledge.

Uh...gah, I can't even think of it now but I'm pretty sure the DS one you're looking for is Aria of Sorrow. Curse of Darknees is for the PS2 and the Xbox (at least I think). It's actually pretty good. There's a lot of walking, but virtually everything you need to take care of you can do right from the status menu, so you're not constantly warping back to the shop every time you need a new weapon. The innocent devil aspect is consuming, but it's kind of nice to see a Castlevania game with strategy a little more involved than "jump on the moving clock hands". I think I'm going to use that line...

OH! My friend was telling me about Trauma Center the other night. I can't believe I've never heard of it. Doesn't sound like my kind of thing (I can barely stomach an episode of Nip/Tuck) but the idea behind it sounded awesome. Chris went into avid detail about how he had to peel glass from some guy's face and remove another man's ulcer. I'm half tempted to check it out to see if it's any good.
