Ico, Shadow of the Colossus HD versions hitting PSN next week

If you forgot to pick up the Ico and Shadow of the Colossus HD Collection when it launched last September (what other reason could you have?), Sony has you covered. Both games will be available for separate downloading on the PlayStation Network starting next week, according to the PlayStation Blog's podcast.

The physical Blu-ray copy of the collection runs at about $40, so it makes sense that each game will go for $20. That's also helpful in the case you don't have an interest in playing of of the two games.

For some folks, Ico and Shadow of the Colossus, two stellar PlayStation 2 titles developed by Team Ico, are the two games one should point to if ever presented with an "are video games art?" conversation. So, if you haven't played them yet, you really owe it to yourself to check it out -- especially SOTC, my personal favorite of the two.

Team Ico's next game is The Last Guardian, which is still in development, though the departure of the studio's head, and a little mistake by GameStop, had some worried the title would never see the light of day.
