Free Batman: Arkham City skin available soon
Like its predecessor, Batman: Arkham City is one of the biggest game releases of the year. The folks at developer Rocksteady are pleased as punch at the positive attention the game has received from critics and fans, and are releasing a free skin to show their appreciation.
A blog post from the game's director, Sefton Hill, reveals that the skin is based on the Batsuit from Batman Incorporated, the comic series in which Batman decides to turn his identity into a franchise, creating a team of Batmen based around the world, all of whom ultimately answer to the original Batman. It's weird stuff.
The skin is said to be available "tomorrow" on the Xbox Live Marketplace, PlayStation Network Store, and Windows Marketplace, though the blog post went up late last night and it's likely "tomorrow" is today, since this is the day the PSN Store updates.
As a bonus, Hill also reveals a push button cheat code for the game, a rare thing in this day and age. By selecting a save file and pressing left, left, down, down, left, left, right, up, up, and down, players can use any skin they have at any point in the game. Normally, you have to finish the game to use skins in story mode, or stick to using them in challenge mode.
