Play Halo 4 multiplayer, get Microsoft Points
Some people play online shooters like it's a full time job. It's about time they started getting paid for it, right?
Microsoft plans to reward hardcore players of Halo 4 with Microsoft points. Through the "Halo 4 Combat TOur" promotion, playing the online multiplayer mode for 35, 70, or 140 hours will earn you 100, 300, or 600 points respectively. That's about 4.25 points per hour. Additionally, by spending 1500 or 3000 points on Halo-related goods and services (such as DLC or Avatar accessories), you can get 100 or 200 points back.
The deadline is November 30th, which means you'll have to play about six hours per day if you want to reach that 140 hour milestone. Yikes. On the flip side, there's a good chance you would have hit at least that first prize tier of 35 hours anyway, so hey. Free dollar.
