Uncharted: Fight for Fortune revealed
A posting on the Australian Classification Board’s website has exposed a new Uncharted game. Uncharted: Fight for Fortune is listed as a “multi-platform” title with a “G” general rating.
Instead of original series developer Naughty Dog, the posting lists One Loop Games as the developer. Previous One Loop projects include Star Wars Episode III: The Revenge of the Sith, The Saboteur, and Full Spectrum Warrior. The developer’s website hints that the studio has recently finished two unannounced projects, one of which is their “first big game.”
There’s plenty in the listing to speculate on. “Multi-platform” could simply refer to the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita. If not, Fight for Fortune would mark the first Uncharted title not developed exclusively for a Sony console. The “G” rating would indicate a shift in focus for the series, which previously has not shied away from bone-crunching violence and naughty language.
Uncharted has proved one of the most successful PlayStation-exclusive series. The latest instalment, Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception, was released in November 2011. A PlayStation Vita title, Golden Abyss, launched with the handheld console earlier this year.
An official announcement for Uncharted: Fight for Fortune will likely come soon.
