Dishonored's DLC plans unsheathed
Bethesda announced its plans for Dishonored downloadable content today, confirming the Arkane Studios-developed title will see at least three DLC packs starting this December and into 2013.
The first content pack, called Dunwall City Trials, will arrive in December for $4.99 (or 400 Microsoft Points), according to Bethblog. The download consists of 10 challenge maps that will challenge your skills in combat, stealth and getting around terrains quickly and efficiently. One map will be a battle arena with waves of enemies attacking, while another will feature "gravity-defying drop assassinations." Assassins will be able to compete and compare their performances with others via global leaderboards that keep track of each challenge. And, of course, Dunwall City Trials will pack its own achievements.
If you're looking for something more story-oriented, you'll have to wait until 2013, when Bethesda will launch two story-centric DLC packs, the first of which was revealed to be about the assassin Daud and his group of supernatural assassins -- a band of killers you come in contact with during Dishonored's main campaign. Set to release in Spring 2013, this pack will let Corvo explore new settings in Dunwall, as well as get his hands on Daud's gadgets and weaponry. And, much like Dishonored's main campaign, Bethesda teased, "How you play and the choices you make will impact the final outcome..."
The publisher promised to share details on the third DLC pack "closer to its launch next year."
