Pilotwings available through Club Nintendo for 100 coins

The original Pilotwings is being offered as a Club Nintendo Reward for only 100 coins.

The Super Nintendo classic can be downloaded to your Wii through Nintendo's Virtual Console service. Yes, it's still a thing. Just head to Club Nintendo, drop 100 coins, and they'll send you a code to get the game. This offer expires on October 28, so you had better hurry! After that, Pilotwings will still be available for its regular VC price of 800 Wii Points ($8).

Pilotwings is one of the few games made mostly as a tech demo (in this case for the SNES's Mode 7 3D scaling) that's actually really fun. 100 points is a worthwhile investment for this game, which at the very least will serve as a good history lesson.

Still not sold? Maybe Game Master Arino's playthrough of the game on the Japanese show GameCenter CX will convince you!
