Injustice: Gods Among Us gets a $100 collector's edition, includes huge statue
Come April 2013, the release window recently announced for NetherRealm Studios' Injustice: Gods Among Us, retailers better start planning to set aside a bit of shelf space. Injustice's collector's edition, announced today, will make you shout "Holy Bat-somethings!"
Aside from a collector's edition version of a "brand new" (unannounced?) DC Comics series, a digital download for Justice League: Doom animated film and three exclusive character skins for Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman, this collector's edition will be packed with a statue standing more than one foot tall.
The 13-inch-plus statue, pictured above, features an evil-looking Wonder Woman showing off her rodeo skills on a pretty upset-looking Batman. Bats stands atop a piece of the Fortress of Solitude, while Wonder Woman appears ready to impale Mr. Wayne with The Last Son of Krypton's Escape Ship. How she got her hands on that? Well, being a featured character in Injustice probably has its own collector's edition-type perks, I guess.
Picking up this much larger version of Injustice this coming April will down you $100, according to a Warner Bros. press release, so you might want to start your panhandling near Wayne Manor sooner rather than later. Unfortunately, the collector's edition was only announced for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions of the game, so if you were already hoping for a Wii U collector's edition, well, keep hoping. We'll, of course, keep you posted if we hear of one.
