Borderlands 'demake' whets your appetite for Borderlands 2 next month
Gearbox Software's Borderlands 2 is less than a month away. For some folks, it couldn't arrive a month too soon. Hopefully, this Borderlands demake, a 16-bit reinterpretation of the current generation "RPS," can ease some of that anxiousness.
The demake, which Claptrap says is the 1989 original version of the game, is actually pretty charming and -- most importantly -- fun. Much like its current gen counterpart, you'll choose a character and battle foes in the wasteland while leveling up and picking up weapon upgrades using only the arrow keys and space bar on your keyboard.
Of course, the reason you're checking out or playing this 16-bit Borderlands is because 2K Games would like to kindly remind you about Borderlands 2's Sept. 18 release date in North America (Sept. 21 in Europe and Australia) and the fact you can still pre-order it. You know, because apparently lots of folks still do that and stuff.
