Epic Games' production director joins Irrational Games to work on BioShock Infinite
Epic Games' Rod Fergusson, the studio's director of production, has left the studio to work for BioShock Infinite developer Irrational Games, according a tweet by Fergusson himself. The announcement comes in the wake of key staff departures from Irrational, which we reported yesterday.
"Yes it's true," tweeted Ferugsson. "I'm leaving my family at Epic to join my new family at Irrational in Boston starting tomorrow."
Fergusson will, of course, help Ken Levine and company complete Infinite, which we hope can still meet its Feb. 26, 2013 release date.
"And yes I've played Infinite and it's amazing!" he wrote in a follow-up tweet. "Can't wait for you guys to get your hands on it."
We wish Fergusson the best of luck on his move from Raleigh to Boston, especially if it means finally getting to explore the world of Columbia sooner rather than later.
