Assassin's Creed III gets its first gameplay trailer -- with bears!

Well, it's only one bear. But Assassin's Creed III's heroe, Ratohnhaké:ton, takes it on for about a second in this brand-stabbing new gameplay trailer, courtesy of Ubisoft's YouTube account.

Right off the bat, you'll notice Ubisoft's Anvil 2 engine makes ACIII look great, and Ratohnhaké:ton's animations look criminally smooth as he "parkours" along the trees and rooftops of colonial America, taking down plenty of Redcoats along the way. As usual, our assassin's combat animations are slick and over-the-top; you might notice the one sequence where Ratohnhaké:ton pulls an already stabbed Redcoat's musket into his comrade's body as he tries to get off the ground. It all just looks oh-so-satisfying.

Assassin's Creed III hits stores on Oct. 30.
