EVE:
Yep, the internet spaceship game. Back in action with a new video card, I hung out on the test server with some alliance pals trying a new setup for a Dominix battleship. It may have been the shitty fits other people were using, but the space shoe sucked everything dry with a battery of six energy neutralizers and a good time was had by all.

Dragon Age 2:
I wasn't sure if I wanted to be a rogue or a mage, so I started a new game twice and am alternating between, to get a sense of which style I like better. I think I'm leaning more towards mage (rather the opposite of the last game), possibly because Rock Armor looks badass and Tempest is just too much fun, but I'm not very far in - still raising money for the Deep Roads expedition. Oh, and I accidentally started hitting on Anders. We'll see how that ends up.

Star Ruler:
Picked this up again for the first time since Blah and I did that interview and review tag-team. It's grown up rather nicely, and there's a vibrant modding community with some really cool shit. The mod I'm playing with now, Expanded Universe, adds a couple of strike craft hulls, completely redoes the shield mechanics, and adds stargates!

Oh, and I accidentally started hitting on Anders.

Yeah, the game really wanted me to go gay with Anders too. I don't know what the deal is. Apparently the gays don't even like that.

Eh, I don't think it's any more jarring than the female characters who keep tripping over themselves to get into the PC's bed in every other BioWare game.

That article highlights an interesting double-standard, though. Crazy bald biotic chick propositions male Shepard? Fine and dandy. Grey Warden with a troubled past flirts with male Hawke? Totally not okay!

Glad you're having fun! So that you're aware, Patch 1.0.7.0 will be launching some time tomorrow with a huge host of changes to the UI, a new weapon, a completely reworked technology web (that now actually looks like a web), automatic exploration orders, a stroked font to make some of our text much easier to read, a new technology, a new shipset, better (and selectable) flags for your Empire/Race, and bug fixes along with some other minor stuff.

Seriously the graphics for Star Ruler look really good. I am looking forward to trying this one out.

Thanks, CoarseDragon. The new shipset will hopefully make the game look a lot better along with the new much more professional and more organized UI.

Thanks for the heads-up on the new patch. As a matter of fact I was thinking of doing a One-Year-Later review on SR. :D

Edit, re DA2: Suskie, I'm beginning to see what you were talking about with regards to the recycled environments. Ugh, I haven't even started the expedition.
