They really eat up those decent but not great platformers that most gamers overlook. Beyond Good & Evil was a 7 for me.

BG&E was one of those games I'd love to see a sequel to because I think it had so many good ideas but not enough development of those ideas.

Every game I've played with Tim Schafer as the lead designer has been overrated as far as I'm concerned. I'd probably agree with you on Psychonauts (and after playing Brutal Legend I don't really have much desire to play it either). His games always have great stories, humor, and dialogue, but there's always some annoying gameplay problems (Full Throttle was probably his best game - its only problem was being way too easy). His better work was always with other people at Lucasarts like in Day of the Tentacle and the Monkey Island games.

I think you already know I was disappointed with BG&E.
