So wait... doesn't Assassin's Creed II come out today?

Any reason there haven't been any reviews up yet? Is this simply what happens when two prolific games are released on the same day, i.e. one overshadows the other? I'm wondering because I see a lot of potential in this franchise but I'm not going to pay full price for this game if it's just going to repeat all of the mistakes the last one made. I'm basically going off GameRankings at this point and I'm too lazy to check every site I can think of, so has anyone found any legitimate reviews?

honestgamer - November 17, 2009 (09:51 AM) Today is indeed the day and I'm naturally excited. You probably expected that from me, since I really liked a lot of what the first one accomplished. Kotaku has put up a glowing review, scoreless as is that site's tendency. You may want to check it out: http://kotaku.com/5405800/assassins-creed-2-review-a-season-for-masterpieces I hope to pick up a copy sometime soon and possibly even review it. Assassin's Creed II marks the last of this year's major releases that I want badly enough to invest my own money. As with New Super Mario Bros. Wii, I just don't know when I'll have time to play and review it. |

Genj - November 17, 2009 (05:59 PM) The game was so bad, much like the first Assassin's Creed, that they couldn't even stomaching playing through this one to review it hurf durf! Also, there seem to 25 reviews for it on Metacritic now. edit - seems like a lot of "huge improvement" comments |
