Title: The List
Posted: October 03, 2009 (02:03 PM)
This is the Halloween movie's-i've-watched-list (I need a catchier title) so far.

10/1 - Death Line (1972, US)
10/2 - Nightmare Detective (2006, Japan)
10/2 - Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1974, US)
10/2 - Trick'r'Treat (2008, US)
10/2 - It's Alive (1974, US)
10/2 - It's Alive (2008, US)
10/2 - The Frozen Dead (1968, US)
10/3 - Blood Feast (1963, US)

A little bit US heavy so far, but I have some Fulci stuff lined up so that will change.

Title: Gore-A-Day

I'm attempting to watch, at the very least, one horror movie a day until Halloween. Anybody else in? Lets keep track;

Today I watched Death Line and Nightmare Detective

I look forward to the sheer amount of terrible puns I will be working into my review for it.

Title: Podcast A Go Go
Posted: September 17, 2009 (03:50 PM)
Tonight I will be reppin' HG and appearing on the always entertaining BarCODE podcast. They shoot live and record it for official release later, so listen in around 7:30 or 8 for unedited hilarity.

Title: Statements I never thought I would make

So I guess it is safe to say that Lady GaGa is really the only halfway interesting thing in mainstream music right now.

Also; would. Hermaphrodite or not!

Title: So, what do you listen to?
Posted: August 27, 2009 (03:08 PM)
As a jaded hipster, I am always oddly fascinated by what the rest of my gaming brethren are currently listening to. I was never one to think I had obscure musical taste, but being a reformed hardcore scene weirdo I was used to being surrounded by other people with similar taste in music. Now that I'm immersed in the wonderful world of video game journalism, I realize I have very little to talk about musically!

The odds are good that at least one other music junkie like myself exists around these hallowed halls of Honest Gamers. So, what are YOU listening to right now and what do you gravitate towards musically?

Me, I pretty much have infinite music at my fingertips and tend to get lost in it. Still, I find myself reverting to bands that had a huge influence in my musical upbringing. I try to look forward musically, but bands like Rocket From The Crypt, The Dillinger Escape Plan, This Day Forward, Deadguy, Saetia, Frail, and "you know your from NJ if you used these bands to hook up with girls" powerhouses Penfold and Saves the Day always seem to make it back to the top of my rotation.

Title: I only like my girls two ways, crazy and crazier.

I should really use this more.

Arkhlam Asylum has made me decide that Harley Quinn is the perfect girl for me, and not just because I have a clown makeup fetish.

Title: DLC Raaaageeee

They are trying to make me pay for added characters in Killing Floor? A game with such little replay value and so much dullness that men have been known to run Freecell during it just to feel alive.

Dirty pool... dirty pool.

I just did a piece over at TheGameReviews about westerns in the video game world(http://thegamereviews.com/article-1458-Editorial-Bright-Dawn-for-the-Gaming-Cowboy.html for those who are interested) and it got me thinking, what would you cool cats consider a good western game? What would it have to have and what type of game would it be for it to be entirely successful?

Also I think I'm going to start working on a list of what games go best with what alcoholic beverages. Video games are better than food anyway.

Title: Hay, whats going on in here?
Posted: July 28, 2009 (07:18 PM)
Hey everybody, I've got to gussy up things here but I figured I would introduce myself. I'm a newly minted freelancer over on this lovely site. You might recognize my work from Hardcore Gamer Magazine, FACEOFFgames, or my personal blog InAnotherCastle.net. Most likely not.

Either way I assume an introduction would be nice. I'm a Temple University journalism major. I go to professional wrestling school; yes, the spandex and folding chair kind. I've recently quit my day job to focus on school and writing. I drink a bottle of Wild Turkey on Hunter S Thompson's birthday and deathday. I like my bars grimy, and my women grimier.

I'm fairly good at being entertaining, but not nearly as good as I am at being pretentious.
