Title: Spelunked. Posted: March 02, 2009 (11:47 AM)
Last night, I had a dream about Spelunky.
I dreamt that, after finally finishing the game, I returned to it to find out I'd unlocked a new section. While retaining the pixelated visuals, it had gained an additional axis, and moved into a sort of weird meta-dimension consisting of wireframes and block colours, looking a little like Darwinia. The game mechanics remained the same, but the new depth added a whole new tactical side to the title.
If this were true, it'd be utterly wonderful.
As it stands, it's just really, really, really good and you should all be playing it. Why aren't you all playing it?!

I'm playing the games I'm kind enough not to make you play. Ingrate.

There's always time for Spelunky.
You can even have a quick go during the loading screens and cut-scenes of Remnant.

Or I can just button-mash A through the static battles and let them sort themsleves out.
I've been play Crisis Core in between the Remnant breaks!

Are you good to confirm Remnant is as awful as I thought, then?

What's weird about this is that I had a dream last night that I was reading a review of yours called Spelunky. I woke up thinking it a strange dream, especially since I'd never heard of the game.
I didn't know there was actually a review by you on the game.
EDIT: Looking over it, I see it's one of your more recent reviews. Don't know how I missed it.

I'm finding it very hard to make my mind up on Remnant. Sometimes I hate it, sometimes, I suffer cushing indifference and sometimes, almost in spite of myself, I find I'm enjoying it. Which is a pain because it means I'm going to have to play more and more of the game to form a worthwhile opinion.
