Blast from the Past
March 25, 2009

I'm buying a Playstation 2 tonight. I sold my last one for fuck all pounds a couple of years ago when I was skint, and my girlfriend's been nagging me ever since to get another one.

Someone is being kind enough to sell us one, with four games, for £30. Mad skills. It'll be interesting to see what I can pick up for it - and I can finally play the Persona series. Hooray!

Good. I'll add that to the list of things I can work you into the ground via.

I loved Persona 3 & 4. Also consider getting/searching for Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne too (think they called it Lucifer's Call over there). Easily some of my favorite RPGs ever.

You can play God of War! =D

OMG, and the .hack series. That's one of the greatest series I've ever played. If you're into anime-based JRPGs, anyway. I will tell you that you don't need to watch any of the anime to play the games, though you might want to play the first four games before playing the next three newer ones. <333 that series. Mm....

The PS2 still remains my favorite console of all time (nevermind the fact that I haven't played much else). The library is huge and for the most part, excellent, at least from my experience. I'm glad you're getting the opportunity to get one back, and with four games to boot, for so cheap!

Picked this up tonight. He gave me five games. Five! GTA brothers Vice City and San Andreas, PES3, LMA Manager and Sonic Heroes.

I'm very much looking forward to getting hold of God of War and Ico again. Two glorious games.

However, Collette insists our first purchase is a Crash Bandicoot title.

Heh.

Collette's taste in games seems suspect, but if it helped you get a PS2 then some of that can be forgiven. I think Crash of the Titans has a PS2 version, though... Go for that one. If it's anything like the DS version, it won't be all bad.
