Resolution Issue 1!
December 07, 2008

Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you:

Resolution Magazine, Issue 1

I'd have liked to have a bit more meat in the features and articles department, but unfortunately we couldn't get everything we wanted done in time. Hopefully that means there'll be more weight to that section next month.

A fair few pretty reviews, though. And the articles we do have should keep you a bit interested.

Do have a read. Hope you like what you see. Spread the word around, 'n' all.

Most recent blog posts from Lewis Denby...

Haha. I was rather entertained by the "keeping up appearances" article (albeit I didn't read much of anything else yet). It's so true in a way.

Well, just as long as we never actually end up like this:

I did catch a typo though. =/

It's out fault

Anyway, it kind of looks like you rewrote some of your reviews to fit the mag and include pictures... Maybe you didn't rewrite that much (or at all, since I may have forgotten some of the content in them...), but I'm not sure.

Blasted typo. I'll fix.

What do you mean by that? All content was written very specifically for Res, though obviously if I've written about a game for more than one place, my opinion isn't going to change, so a lot of the content will sort of remain the same.

Well, I just didn't know if you just copy/pasted your content from here to there (or vice versa), or rewrote the review separately for both places. I'm not accusing you or anything or suggesting that any method's bad; I'm just curious as to your methods. Anyway, it seems you did the latter, which is neat. I think it's great people can rewrite their reviews for different occasions (while still maintaining their same opinion and presenting generally the same content) while making them sound different from each other at the same time (i.e. EmP's darts reviews from earlier this year).

Didn't take it as an accusation at all - was just curious as to what you meant.

Statcounter tells me we've had nearly a hundred unique visits this morning alone, which is quite nice - sounds like fuck all compared to somewhere like this, but considering it's launched with absolutely zero advertising other than this blog and a single post on a forum I use, I don't think that's bad.

Looks like a solid launch. Good job.

Now stop slacking and git back ta work!
