Bass: What? Why!
Bass: Are you okay?
EmP: No. No I’m not.
EmP: I just feel... really sad.
Bass: Who did this to you?
EmP: I got home, and I kicked the drum kit. I feel music has, as a whole, conspired against me and now I want it to die.
Bass: No!
Bass: We just got you to start listening again!
EmP: I feel like there’s a party in my eardrums. And everyone inside has AIDS.
Bass: ...
Bass: Wow.
EmP: I envy the deaf.
Bass: I’ll be there in half an hour. Don’t start drinking.
EmP: Too late.

Green Day are awful. I'm going to see them in November.

They put on one fucking hell of a live show, so you should be alright there.

I read... someone... talking about Green Day recently, who accused them of bouncing off the misplaced hatred of America in today's worldwide youth. Pretty accurate these days. They were once relevant, but now they're clinging to that relevance in one of the most dispicable ways imaginable.

That sums up exactly how I feel actually. It's the same with Neil Young. As soon as they start moaning about America and the war it's always the same tired, simplistic accusations and insults. These complaints may be valid and honorable and everything, but they don't make for a very interesting album. But then maybe it's hard to make a punk album about being a disaffected teenager when you're well into your 40s...
