Ages back now I was offered the chance to send a Q&A sheet to Bill Tiller. If you've never heard of him, he had a big hand in a lot of the classic Lucusarts stuff. He's been kicking around the industry for a while now, taking jobs in places like Midway before surging out on his own to make Vampyre Story. I bit at the chance, but Jason decided that most of my hard work was to die and wiped my site e-mail address so I had to pen it all again last minute.

I've never really thought of myself as an interview guy, so I had mad worries I would mess this up somehow. Bill turned out to be a really cool guy, though, and I'm stoked that I got my own sketch attached to the end of the interview. Check it out at the bottom of the page, it looks awesome.

You can find my initial foray into interviewing the stars by following the link. Maybe some day someone will let me do it again.

Is this the Q&A session you asked us to post questions about, which about only three of us did? I got a feeling not all were answered (like mine or pup's... or anyone's), but I can't remember. Either way, I'll blame the forum wiping for that.

That sketch was cool, though the way you talk about it here makes it sound like you drew it. >_> From the article, I was under the impression that Bill drew it and just attached it for kicks.

On an unrelated note, yay Muse! >_>

Yes, Bill drew it. Bill Tiller! The guy who drew Curse of Monkey Island! FOR ME!

This is as close to fanboyish glee as you'll ever get from me until someone remakes X-COM.

Wow. I don't think I've ever seen you so happy before. You should do things like this more often.

Glad you're excited, though. And you seemed to do a fine job with the interview. I hope you get the chance again. I'm guessing part of your enthusiasm has to do with his place. Seems like a pretty important guy, and I think your article implies as much, but it's something really hard to grasp your head around if you've not met/spoken with him or know more closely what he did. And maybe it's your interest in the genre that makes it even more exciting.

I've had to interview people before... for journalism in high school. It's more frightening in person. Over e-mail's easy. But it's one of those things that comes more easily as you do it.

And to think EmPy, you couldn't even open up the interview doc or add the pics to the site without a little help from your friends . . .

It's about time you were of some use.
