They misspelled their top billed band. The R is supposed to be backwards (because that's hip, dawg). Yeah this looks like a real poo poo event. I've come to the point of realizing most if not all metal is really childish, dull, and retarded. Well I still like Mastodon (angry prog sludge metal about Moby Dick!) and Opeth (Steven Wilson lends 1/16th of his potential studio wizardry) at least.

PS - Fear of a Blank Planet finally hit US shores today. Can't wait to go pick up a copy after lunch.

Thems a good band.

Metal's just far too basic to have any lasting appeal. For the most part it's lazy, unattractive music made by whiniy "wish we were more talanted so we could upgrade to a better genre" 'musicians' and 'singers' with terminal cases of throat cancer.

Note my liberal and insulting use of quote marks.

Side note: I once met one of the guys from Naplam Death. Really, really nice guy. I found that depressing.

true, but only in the sense that all punk is folks shouting immature political ideals over recycled Clash cords or that all electronic music sounds like Moby shit. obviously the vocals are a sticking point and not something I'd blame someone for being hung up on, but there's an Agalloch and an Enslaved for every ten Dream Theatres and Children of Bodoms.
