Let me start off by asking a simple question. Do you enjoy stabbing yourself in the eyes with pointy things? If you answered "No" to the above question, there's a great chance that the pain suffered in this game will not appeal to you. If you said "Yes", well then boy have I found a game for you: horrible eye pain, and no sharp objects required! See, the game is a plain, black backdrop with a tiny white maze in front. There is two entrances/exits in the maze: one for you and one for the computer or second player. The idea is to exit the maze from their hole before they get through yours. Now I'm no labyrinth-lover, but I enjoy a good maze now and then, and a race just makes it even more exciting. But this is no maze, in fact this is nothing short of high-grade eye-strain.

The maze is way too small to be able to look at and follow for more than five seconds. It's very bright and leaves its image burned into your retinas for several minutes after playing. The mazes themselves are designed well, you just can't see them without going blind. The controls themselves are generally responsive, but there's a big issue that gets really annoying. See, if you are slightly off from a turn in the maze, you'll get stuck. Then you'll scramble back and forth in an attempt to allign yourself perfectly, losing valuable seconds in the race. In a game that's already sliding on thin ice because of its horrible, hellfire brightness, a major control issue is the tiny but sharp twig on the one branch that pokes the hole in the red birthday balloon that is this arcade game.

Besides these issues, playing the computer is a complete waste of time since they always know the direct path there. To compensate for this knowledge, it moves a bit slower. Why not just put a timer to beat, since the computer is just moving on the clock anyway? Playing against a friend is fun, if you can find a friend who's willing to hand away his decent vision for a boring maze game. If by some crazy stretch of imagination you do find a friend like this, I hope you don't expect them to be friends with you for much longer, not after you force them to play this trash.
