Beat 'Em & Eat 'Em review

Reviewed July 24, 2007

Sho says: "Taking control of two blocky blondes in the nude, you’re supposed to gulp down falling drops of semen being spurted from the freakishly endowed man lurking in the rooftops. Of course this is on the 2600, so his mammoth member actually looks more like a giant nose complete with itty bitty eyes; but while the graphics might have been good for their day, you’re not going to find them the least bit arousing unless you’re an utter twat."

disco says: "You know, I was trying to come up with a good intro for this. Something interesting, like a little descriptive scene or narrative. The usual. But I can’t. Not for a game like this, anyway. One can only stare slack-jawed at that blank page and that ever-blinking cursor for so long. Besides, the box sums it up better than anything I could have come with: "

JoeTheDestroyer says: "On a platform where games were supposed to be simple and addictive, mucking up something like control response can make a huge difference. It's because of this that Beat 'Em & Eat 'Em isn't worth playing. Never mind the silly premise."

whelkman says: "Ah, Mystique, bless you. What would the Atari 2600 be without your games? As if there weren't enough bad titles, you had to introduce pixilated nudity into the mix. Without you, the Japanese wouldn't have the idea to copy, and Hentai games would be long delayed! "
