Marc Golding says: "What of the game design we thrilled to in Shinobi III, the game most widely considered to epitomize Shinobi? What of double jumps and rainbow shuriken showers? Oh, they're still here. They just don't matter."

Shinobi review

joseph_valencia says: "Shinobi isn’t for the weak of heart. It’s always demanding, and it offers no forgiveness if you fail to deliver when it asks you to. If you cannot handle intense ninja action moves, stages that lack checkpoints, or mildly taxing platforming, then you should consider picking up a copy of Billy Hatcher instead. "
