For starters, this game is a take-off of a take-off. When Nintendo saw the nationally renouned success of Tetris, Nintendo wanted a little piece of that, so they made Dr. Mario. It was a good game, but Tetris had better music, better gameplay, and was just more original. This game is a terrible game, even for a take-off. What was Nintendo thinking?

Graphics: 6/10
The graphics are ok. Yoshi and Mario in the opening look deccent, but even Super Mario 2 had better graphics. The cookies are fairly bad, and the backround leaves something to be desired. I mean come on, Dr. Mario had better graphics!

Story: 1/10
It seems that the factory is overloading with cookies! Oh no! Now Mario the Chef must arrange the cookies in straight lines according to type so they won't overflow and destroy the factory! Since when is Mario a chef (but then again, since when is he a doctor?)? This make absolutely no sense. I mean, since when do people hate it when cookies come falling from the sky?

Control: 4/10
The control on Yoshi's Cookie is ok, but it controls just like any other Tetris rip-off. This time though you move the cookies which have already landed and rearrange them by the rows, which gets kinda annoying when they come down fast and you're trying to arrange it so you can get 1 row completed. They could've made this better.

Gameplay: 4/10
The game is nothing great here. It's not just a standard Tetris-ripoff, it's worse than one. It's extreamly boring and very easy. The only thing whihc makes me give it anything above a 1 is its addictive, despite it's lack of deapth or fun factor.

Sound/Music: 2/10
The music is pretty bad. The quality of it is very low and it gets tedious awfully quickly. The sound is ok, but again it's low quality and it seems like this game was either extremely rushed or they just didn't put any work into it.

Replay Value: 3/10
The only reason I can think to replay this game is because of it's multiplayer. The game itself is very easy, so what's left is the multiplayer, and even then if I want a good multiplayer NES game I'll play Double Dragon or even Dr. Mario for that matter!

Overall: 3/10
This game could've been better than it is, an attempt to milk the Tetris-style franchise even more. It was a failure. Don't get this. Stay away from it. If you want a good Tetris-style game buy Dr. Mario. This just isn't up there. For shame, Nintendo. For shame...

Pros:
ok multiplayer

Cons:
Everything else

Rating: 3/10

Deep within Nintendo's HQ where EAD and Intelligence reside stands another company not exactly up to their quality. They are called HAL. This, Super Smash Bros....
